Mom is still here. It's been an awesome week.
On Labor Day, the three of us went to the driving range so that I could get my first golf instructional. Mom had an old set of golf clubs that she gave to me. The deal was that I could not have the clubs unless I proved to her that I really wanted to learn. I wasn't sure that I did... And then we hit the driving range.
I freaking loved it! So now, my new hobby is learning how to play golf. I will have to spend probably another year at the driving range before I am ready to play a course, but I promise you... I will play one.
Yesterday, we went to a golf superstore on Central Avenue where Mom got me my very own golf bag. (It's an early birthday present.) It's purple and black and a little girly which I totally love. Now all I need is a driver, a pair of hottie tottie golf shoes and an adorable outfit and I will be ready to play with the boys.
I never thought I would be this interested in golf. I've always thought it was so boring. Anytime someone would even watch it on TV, I would get annoyed because of how dull I thought it was. All of a sudden, I am really eager to prove to myself that I can learn. I think it would be something really cool to do with my husband. Imagine all the golf destination vacations we could go to...
After hitting up the golf store yesterday, we went to the grocery store. I had to do some shopping and Mom helped me gather all the ingredients for her famous Italian wedding soup. We also decided to make a batch of her tomato sauce and meatballs. For the first time, I made all three. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and I am pretty proud of myself!
Today Mom and I are heading to a harbor tour of the city. It's going to be a gorgeous day out. It's funny... when she first told me that she was coming for a week, I didn't know what to think. But now that she is here... I just don't want her to go.
