I have been up since 6:20 this morning. I think I went to bed around 1:00 in the morning. It's been a rough night's sleep.
Am I nervous that I am getting married in less than six hours? Sure, I have butterflies in my stomach. It's a strange feeling having all of these people around you, excited and waiting for the big day.
I've never been so exhausted in my life.
Last night was our rehearsal and dinner. I was literally so nervous at the altar, that I kept dropping my bouquet of shower bows down to my side, and my knees were shaking.
The emotion of it all is finally catching up to me, as well. Last night at the rehearsal, I finally realized that it is me that is a bride today. The Monsignor walked us through rehearsal. When Dad walked me up the aisle, we giggled and talked. It wasn't until Dad was told to kiss me and step back from me, that I felt the pain in my heart.
I didn't want my Dad to let me go.
Last night I spent the evening with friends and family, talking and laughing. I drank a bit to much wine and today I am really sleepy.
But I can't stop thinking about my Dad. And how it is time to walk away from being his little girl...
