It's a Boy!

Jenna had her baby yesterday.... and it's a boy!

I don't think I have wiped this smile off my face once since I've heard the news. It's really kind of amazing to see one of your friends become a Mother. This is her second baby. She has a beautiful baby girl, Rachel, who is going to be two.

Jenna is my girl that I lived with in Italy. She was a fellow "heartbreaker." We definitely got into a lot of good trouble together. Most of my favorite memories of Italy involve Jenna. We danced together until all hours of the morning, drank a ton of vino and just lived it up.

We've been friends for almost eight years. I love Jenna and who she is. She is such a good Mom... a cool Mom! Her children are going to love her and who she is. I look at her and hope that I can be like her. That I will live my life as carefree and simple as hers. She lives it with humor, too... which is the best way to do it.

And as a friend? She's the best kind. She's always checking in on me. We talk every single day over email. We never lose touch and are constantly catching up on each other's world. I am so grateful for her, and never tell her enough. She's so special to me. It's good to have a friend who truly and genuinely knows how to put you first and find time to listen... no matter how mundane the problem. She's up there on the list of things that I miss most about living in Massachusetts. I miss being close by... so I can stop by her house and squeeze her little munchkins whenever I get the chance...

Congratulations, Jenna & Mark! Ti amo! I can't wait to meet Baby Joe.
