But oh... not us girls. We weren't about to let a few snowflakes keep us down.To keep us happy... I had a nice spread of appetizers prepared. Some cream cheese and pepper jelly, Dubliner cheese with fresh apple slices, Gorgonzola-Date tarts (made by Gina), a warm olive salad (also made by Gina), port wine cheese with crackers and a nice bowl of mixed nuts. There was also plenty of Prosecco, white wine and beer to get the party started.
At around 9, the five of us headed up to the restaurant complete with snow boots, hats and gloves... our high heels stashed nicely in our purses. We walked into the restaurant through the kitchen, hooting and hollering at the kitchen staff. After walking into the restaurant, the Ipod was promptly poached and switched with mine. Immediately, Madonna's "You Can Dance" remix began blasting through the restaurant and we all began singing at the top of our lungs.
The last table finally took their cue to leave.
After a nice dinner and opened presents, complete debauchery insued. I am not sure how to even recap most of the night's events so I will do it in pictures:
A nice photo op... complete with hugs and smiles. Not too damaging. Yet.
And so it begins...
Fast forward through a couple more rounds of this...
To this...
Gina, Mel and Odelya on the bar... Certainly glad I didn't do that...
Oh wait. I did.
Sigh.
Well, needless to say... I spent the entire day yesterday in bed with the worst hangover in my life. But I gotta say... It was worth it.
